Dear Editor:

My husband and I would like to show support for the re-election of John Carrier, District 5 Supervisor. Although we do not live in District 5, every supervisor’s vote affects other parts of the county. John has shown a lot of independence and has balanced public needs with people’s individual rights. As long time business owners and commercial agricultural producers in the county, we have been very impressed with John’s ability to listen, his ethics and ability to remain independent. He has made good decisions in protecting our tax dollars, and understands the complex challenges of governing this county. He has been very supportive of law enforcement thereby protecting public safety, such as voting for the Sheriff's marijuana ordinance, which prevent large marijuana grows and planning for jail expansion. We hope the citizens of District 5 will agree he has done an excellent job and will vote for John in June.
