SST LTRWhether you are voting in early October through the mail or in November at the polls, please vote "yes" on Measure L which will provide MCUSD $24 million it needs to fix leaky roofs, deteriorating plumbing and sewer systems, inadequate electrical systems, replace outdated heating and air conditioning systems, and more at all of its school sites throughout Mariposa County, including its Catheys Valley school site rented to SFCS.

The portable classrooms are old and in desperate need of repairs. Air conditioning and heating systems are failing. All Mariposa County children in our public school system deserve to be in classrooms where they're not distracted by being too hot in the early and late school months, suffering from cold in the winter months, and where water doesn't drip from leaky ceilings. They deserve school sites with fully functioning septic systems. They need healthy environments so they can focus on the important task of learning.

We're going to depend on our county's school children to take care of us some day. Please, let's do the right thing as a community and take care of our school children's needs right now.

Even better, if this passes, the state will kick in additional funds allowing MCUSD to make even more progress on its long list of needed repairs. If this doesn't pass, MCUSD will receive no matching funds. That would be an opportunity lost and a tragedy for our kids. Please don't let that happen.

Please vote "yes" on L!
