August 22, 2017 -  On Monday afternoon, August 21, 2017 CAL FIRE reported the Detwiler Fire in Mariposa County was 100% contained at 81,826 acres.

The Detwiler Wildfire in Mariposa County began on Sunday afternoon, July 16, 2017 at around 3:56 P.M. at Detwiler Road  across from Hunters Valley Road about 2 miles east of Lake McClure.
