August 22, 2017 The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office reports on the South Fork Fire Alert. 

The Evacuation Order for Wawona residents will be lifted beginning Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 7:00 A.M.

Residents, homeowners and employees only may return at that time, identification required.  Area east of Chilnualna Creek remains closed. 

Public closure remains in effect.
