Ferguson Fire YNP
July 15, 2018 - Smoke from the Ferguson Fire burning outside Yosemite National Park in the Sierra National Forest is creating poor visibility in Yosemite National Park and is affecting air quality in Mariposa County and Yosemite National Park.

Smoke levels are expected to vary. You can view webcams and check the current air quality on our website: nps.gov/yose/learn/nature/aqmonitoring.htm. Visitors who are sensitive to smoke should plan to limit any strenuous outdoor activities or plan to visit the park another time.

Highway 140 between Midpines and El Portal remains closed with no anticipated time to reopen. Due to the road closure on Highway 140 outside the park, expect long wait times on Highway 41 at the south entrance to Yosemite National Park.
