Fire
Donnell fire moderated yesterday, reducing the amount of smoke being produced in the geographic area. Dense areas along the river drainage will be localized to those communities within 30 miles of the fire area. Isolated interior burning will be visible on the Ferguson fire, producing low-level haze and occasional pockets of decreased visibility near heavy concentrations along roadways. Reduced fire activity on the Lions fire resulted in limited smoke impacts in the N. Fork of the San Joaquin yesterday. The increase in humidity today is expected to moderate smoke production on all three fires.
Smoke
Reduced fire activity and favorable prevailing winds are assisting in moving smoke out of the general forecast area. Cumulative regional smoke from the Mendocino & Carr fires is currently going to the NE and is not filling the SJV. Clear skies can be expected again tonight, with brief periods of increased haze and smoke in the unhealthy range for those locations in the direct vicinity of the fire.

This will be the last geographic overview. Localized forecasts for individual fires will continue until smoke impacts in those areas are also no longer needed.
