The subsequent investigation revealed that Mr. Wolsko set out for a day hike on Wednesday July 13th and survived in the wilderness for approximately ten days with very few provisions. Before setting out, Frank Wolsko altered his originally planned route and quickly became lost.
On Thursday, Mr. Wolsko reported that he lost contact with his dog "Cassie" who later returned to their vehicle where she awaited his return.
Frank Wolsko was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released for exposure and dehydration.
