Little Fuller Band THE LAST WEEKEND OF THE 2016 SEASON of MUSIC on the GREEN – the free summer concert series brought to you by The Mariposa County Arts Council and its many fine sponsors – at The ART PARK in historic, downtown  MARIPOSA, will feature two of the best we’ve ever presented: The LITTLE FULLER BAND on Friday, August 26, and The ROGER PERRY BAND on Saturday, August 27.

The Little Fuller Band (pictured left) - from Sonora - is a highly energetic and refreshing change of pace from the usual folk/string band. Self described as California Folk, these young performers have a sound that combines influences of Americana, Bluegrass, Country, Folk, Gypsy, Punk, and Rock & Roll, with a focus on the heavily rhythmic use of tradition stringed instruments. Every song breathes with it’s own unique dynamic velocity, compounded by their natural magnetism and presence on stage.

The powerful lyrics of their original songwritting features the strong vocals of Kelly Jane, a passionately seasoned singer. Since their debut in 2014 on the Art Park Stage, the group has been breaking nationally and internationally, playing prominent festivals and concert venues across the U.S. and Europe.

For more information and to sample their latest recording, go to their Facebook page and/or website.

Roger Perry BandRoger Perry Band

Being influenced by disparent music styles such as, rock, blues, real country, reggae, poly-rhythmic jazz and folk, and by various artists – from Leonard Cohen to John Coltrane, Miles Davis to Frank Zappa, and including Elvis and Johnny Cash - make Fresno music icon, Roger Perry, difficult to easily catagorize, but extremely entertaining none the less. With a singing voice that’s been likened to Roy Orbison and the guitar playing skills of Chet Atkins, Perry is a formidible talent on his own, and surrounded by the experienced professionals – known regionally, nationally, and internationally – that fill out his band, makes for an even more powerhouse performance. Learn more about this award winning Central Valley/Coast artist at RogerPerryMusic.com or his Facebook music page.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Free parking on 5th Street along the Creek Walkway to the Park, also providing handicapped access.

The shows are free to the public – tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.
