June 3, 2017 - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces that one-way traffic control will be in effect for several weeks over the next two months on State Route 41 between Avenue 15 and State Route 49 in Madera County. Construction crews will be installing rumble strips in the center lane to increase safety throughout this corridor.
The following one-way traffic control will be in effect, weather permitting:
· Beginning Sunday, June 4th, stretches of State Route 41 will be reduced to one-way traffic from Avenue 15 to State Route 49. Delays of up to 15 minutes are possible, and depending on traffic volumes, delays may extend longer. One-way traffic control will be in effect Sunday through Thursday nights between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Caltrans maintenance workers remind you to drive with extra care and allow additional travel time while travelling in the maintenance area. Please be alert for Road Maintenance Personnel and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on site assisting with traffic control. Motorists are expected to obey all traffic laws.
