Candidates for Daytona visitors bureau president give their spin on city

With five hours of interviews and a wine-and-dine reception, the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau could have found its new president -- but with one candidate yet to be interviewed, that won't be clear until later this month.

A fourth candidate, Jeffrey Hentz, executive director and CEO of Destination Yosemite and the Mariposa County Convention & Visitors Bureau in Mariposa, Calif., was unavailable but will be interviewed Feb. 20.

The Convention & Visitors Bureau operates with more than $5 million collected from taxes on short-term rentals, and has been without a president since July, when the HAAA board fired former CEO Janet Kersey by a 6-5 vote.
