The Cousin Jack Music Foundation is proud to announce the first annual Cousin Jack Winter Ball on Saturday, February 25 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., Building ‘A’ Mariposa Co Fairgrounds. This family event will feature music all day with- The Adam Burns Band, Good Medicine, The DeWitt and Franklin Band, Jean Butterfield and Electric Blue, featuring Tim Hagar. The foundation will also have door prizes and raffles, food provided by the Mariposa Co Choir, music workshops and a Cousin Jack look-a-like contest with prizes! Advance tickets are only $10, $12 at the door for adults. Kids 12 and under are free-13 to 16, $5 at the door. Tickets are available at Cousin Jack Music Store and other locations. The Cousin Jack Music Foundation was founded in 2003 by the Franklin family as a memorial to “Cousin” Jack Franklin, who dedicated many years of his life to promoting music and the arts to the youth of Mariposa. The primary goal of the Cousin Jack Music Foundation is to continue the work of Cousin Jack by ”promoting passion for music in youth,” the Foundation’s mission statement. Since 2004 the Cousin Jack Music Foundation has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to a Mariposa High School Seniors. This has been made possible by contributions from the Franklin family, as well as generous donations by the community.
