Soroptimist Dress Collection Continues

Soroptimist International of Mariposa and the Mariposa County High School Associated Student Body are collecting formal dresses for The Elegant Dress Closet service project.  The Elegant Dress Closet mission statement is “to provide an affordable and environmentally conscious way to give girls in Mariposa County a magnificent princess experience.”

Friends, families, neighbors, and the young-at-heart who understand the magic of a beautiful dress are asked to clean out their closets and donate formal dresses suitable for high school Prom.  The dresses will be lent out to high school girls attending the Mariposa County High School Prom.

Dresses will be cheerfully accepted at the following locations: Pure Training, in care of Holly Stewart, 5081 Bullion Street , Mariposa Realty and the Rental Network, in care of Sherry Gorham, 5176 Highway 140, Mariposa, Starchman & Bryant Law Offices, 4750 Highway 49 South, in care of Anita Starchman Bryant and Mariposa County High School, Ms. Chappel’s room.

Young ladies attending the Prom will be able to view and select dresses at the First Annual Soroptimist sponsored Prom Faire and Spa Day on March 24th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Hall.
