Photographer Linda Gast and husband Joe drove around Mariposa County on Sunday, March 20, 2011, the first day of Spring, to record in pictures the high water levels around the county.
Almost three inches of rain fell in the town of Mariposa on Sunday with higher water amounts along with snow in the higher elevations.
