“Aahhh-ooh”! Mountain Fever Band to Perform at CoyoteFest!

July 22, 2018 - Exciting things are in the works for this year’s CoyoteFest.  An opening party on Friday night, September 21st on the patio of the Coulter Café will kick off the fun early, with proceeds benefitting the museum.  There is no cover charge, everyone is welcome.

Then on Saturday, September 22nd, the park will be reverberating throughout the day with the sounds of the Mountain Fever Band.  Band members (see video below) Keith Keenom (from right here in Coulterville), Tom Phillips, Steve Leeper, and Mike Naranjo will perform 4 sets, sharing the stage with the Coyote Howl contestants and other entertainment.  In addition to the popular pony rides, a petting zoo is in the works, as well as the Ti Pi village, with new and repeat vendors signing up daily and with almost every food slot already filled… so many choices!!

Sponsor commitments from Allied Auto, the Chicken Ranch Casino and the Yosemite/Mariposa Tourism Bureau will allow the Northern Mariposa County History Center to both strengthen the event as well as help the bottom line of the nonprofit museum.  MaryAnn Huff, NMCHC president, notes that with the CoyoteFest’s growth in recent years, it was time to revamp the sponsorship opportunities, as the CoyoteFest is the largest and most important annual fund-raiser for the museum.  She notes that “…it is only because of the terrific community support that we can continue to improve and grow the event, which is free to the public, while simultaneously raising funds to help ensure the continued preservation of the area’s rich history and the artifacts that have been passed down to us for safe keeping and display from pioneer families.”  The new types of sponsorships, as well as registration forms are now available on the CoyoteFest.org website, at the Coulterville Visitor’s Center/Sierra Flowers, at the Coulter Café & General Store and at the museum, or call Debbie Cook at (209) 878-3227.

Be sure and “follow” the CoyoteFest on Facebook to learn the latest and greatest!  For additional information about the Car Show, call (209) 878-3123; for vendor info, call (209) 852-2595 and if you want to learn how you can get uniquely involved in the CoyoteFest, call the NMCHC at (209) 878-3015 and leave your contact information. Making History One Howl at a Time.  Aahhh-ooh!
