May 31, 2023 - Nevada County Sheriff's Search & Rescue officials reported yesterday that they responded to a missing person call.

We are very proud of our team. In the early hours of the morning, we responded to a call for a missing person out in North San Juan. The terrain out there was treacherous but one of our K9 Teams located the subject at the bottom of a steep hill over 250 ft. down. He was injured but alive. We utilized both our ropes team and CHP’s H20 Helicopter to make a speedy evacuation.
