Homicide Investigation 

January 30, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that the individual responsible for the death of Xavier Cox, a 22-year-old Moreno Valley man was identified riverside county sheriff logoas Teesha Lucas, a 47-year-old female from Moreno Valley. After an extensive investigation, the facts of the case were presented to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, who determined that they would be charging Lucas with voluntary manslaughter for her involvement in this incident. A warrant was later issued for Lucas' arrest.

On January 29, 2026, with the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Lucas was arrested without incident and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for the outstanding warrant.
