Organized Retail Crime Arrests 

February 1, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on January 22, 2026, at 12:37 p.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to the 1600 block of North Perris Boulevard, Perris, regarding a report of theft of a large amount of beauty products. The Perris Sheriff’s Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) assumed the investigation and identified the suspects as Janely Masvidal, a 45-year-old resident of Los Angeles, and Briana Marin, 29 years old, also of Los Angeles. During the investigation, deputies learned Masvidal and Marin were involved in thefts in Riverside County, Orange County, and Los Angeles County, totaling approximately $20,000 in stolen items. Deputies also identified a location in the 7900 block of Artesia Boulevard, Buena Park, where merchandise was being stored.

On January 28, 2026, RBST located Masvidal and Marin in the 7900 block of Beach Boulevard, Buena Park, where they were taken into custody without incident. Masvidal and Marin were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for grand theft, organized retail theft, burglary, and conspiracy.

On January 29, 2026, deputies served a search warrant in the 7900 block of Artesia Boulevard, Buena Park, where an additional suspect, identified as Clementina Peralta, a 56-year-old resident of Buena Park, was located and taken into custody without incident. During the service of the search warrant, deputies located thousands of dollars of suspected stolen clothing, beauty products, marijuana vape products, and several pounds of processed marijuana, along with a large amount of US currency. Peralta was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for possession of stolen property.
