Homicide Investigation (Update)
February 4, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the victim in this case was identified as 
63-year-old Ronald Gargano, a resident of Perris.
During the course of this investigation, the suspect was identified as 19-year-old Luis Rosas, a resident of Moreno Valley.
On February 2, 2026, the Riverside Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau and Major Crime Unit served a search warrant in the 25000 block of Dracaea Avenue, in Moreno Valley. Rosas was located and taken into custody without incident. He was ultimately booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for murder.
