April 20, 2026 – San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office officials report that they have issued a press release regarding a Deputy involved shooting in Nipomo.

On April 19, 2026, Deputies responded to a family disturbance in the 700 block of Hill Street in Nipomo.

When Deputies arrived on scene, an officer-involved shooting occurred.

Sheriff's Detectives are at the location and the scene has been secured. There is no threat to the public at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and additional details will be released as they become known.
