Homicide Investigation 

June 16, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials issue an update to a May 19, 2026, homicide.

During the investigation, homicide investigators identified the suspects in this case as 47-year-old, Hector Saldaña, a resident of Corona, and 43-year-old, Rachel Arredondo, a resident of Corona. On June 12, 2026, Saldaña and Arredondo were arrested in Corona with the assistance of the Emergency Services Team, Major Crimes Unit, and Gang Task Force. Saldaña and Arredondo were booked into Riverside County Jail for murder.

Update: During the investigation, homicide investigators identified the victim in this case as Carlos Villa, a 47-year-old resident of Corona.
