Fatal Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision Kills Pedestrian 

June 16, 2026 – North Hollywood, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Valley Traffic LAPD logoDivision detectives are investigating a hit-and-run traffic collision that left a pedestrian dead.

On June 11, 2026, around 10:30 p.m., a white sedan traveling westbound on Victory Boulevard near Troost Avenue collided into a pedestrian, who was crossing Victory Boulevard. The driver of the white sedan fled the scene without identifying themselves and/or rendering aid to the pedestrian, as required by law.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld until next of kin has been notified.

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
