July 13, 2026 – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that last week Lakewood Sheriff's Station, Bellflower Special Assignment Officers (SAO) located and arrested a wanted suspect in connection with a criminal threats and assault with a deadly weapon investigation.

Due to the suspect’s documented gang affiliation, extensive criminal history, and probation status, deputies conducted a probation compliance search. During the search, deputies recovered an illegally possessed firearm, ammunition, and a stolen vehicle.

This investigation involved extensive follow-up, surveillance operations, witness interviews, evidence collection, probation searches, and close coordination with patrol personnel, detectives, and the District Attorney’s Office. Their collaborative efforts resulted in the apprehension of a violent gang member, the recovery of an illegally possessed firearm, and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

The suspect was booked on the following felony charges:

  • PC 422 – Criminal Threats (2 Counts)
  • PC 245(a)(1) – Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2 Counts)
  • VC 10851(a) – Unlawful Driving or Taking of a Stolen Vehicle
  • PC 29800(a)(1) – Felon in Possession of a Firearm
  • PC 30305(a)(1) – Prohibited Person in Possession of Ammunition

Additional gang and weapons-related enhancements are being sought as part of the prosecution.
