September 26, 2026 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the West Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that severely injured two pedestrians.

On September 5, 2022, around 9:10 a.m., a possible 2006-2015 white Lexus SUV 470 GX (with lift kit and monster tires) traveling eastbound on Venice Boulevard collided with two pedestrians crossing the street northbound on Venice Boulevard in a marked crosswalk at Abbot Kinney Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle, described as a White male, late 20’s, wearing a white t-shirt, brown baseball cap, and brown pants, stopped and got out of the vehicle momentarily. The driver then got back into the vehicle and fled eastbound on Venice Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, render aid, and remain at scene, as required by law.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported both victims to a local hospital where they were treated for injuries. One victim suffered severe injuries as a result of the traffic collision.

The public is also reminded that as pedestrians, they should exercise caution when crossing streets, obey traffic lights, cross within marked crosswalks, and obey the rules of the road.
