Fatal Traffic Collision 

October 6, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:12 a.m., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to the 1100 block of Sundew Way, San Jacinto, regarding a report of a traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies located a single-vehicle traffic collision with the driver suffering from injuries. Deputies provided medical aid at the scene, and medical personnel responded and transported the driver to a local hospital in critical condition. While at the hospital, the driver succumbed to their injuries.

The San Jacinto Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation. The investigation required a temporary road closure of Sundew Way between Lilac Road and Bramble Way, which has since reopened. The driver’s identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and no additional details are available at this time.
