August 25, 2021 - With the recent rescinded or reduced evacuation orders, we see visitors frequently entering our recreation sites and some of our roads and trails, especially in the Canyon Dam Boat Launch and the High Lakes areas. The Lassen National Forest reminds its visitors that the Pacific Southwest Region Emergency Forest Closure Regional Order No. 21-04 is in effect until Monday, September 6, 2021.
A violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.
