Reminder for Students Participation in the Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Club Speech Contest
January 12, 2019 - The Rotary International speech contest topic this year is “Be the Inspiration.” All high school students within Mariposa County are invited to participate by delivering their speech on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 7:00 a.m. at the Senior Center located at 5246 Spriggs Lane.
The main emphasis of their speech should be on how this topic applies to them and their life as their future dreams and plans unfold through pursuit of education and involvement in community service. The top three speeches will receive cash prizes, with the winner advancing to the Area Contest.
Paperwork can be picked up in the Mariposa County High School Counseling Office or printed from the Rotary website www.MariposaRotary.org under EVENTS/Student Speech Contest.
Paperwork should be turned in to the MCHS Counseling Office by Wednesday, February 6, 2019.
