Homicide Investigation 

March 26, 2024 - Fresno Police Department officials report that on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 4:23 am, the Fresno Police Department received a three-round ShotSpotter activation in the 100 block of East Oneil Avenue. When officers arrived, they located a shooting victim, 47-year-old Ryan Lecour, near a gate that led into an alley. Lecour had an apparent gunshot wound to his mid-section and was pronounced deceased on scene despite life-saving measures from patrol. Shell casings and other items of evidence were discovered on scene that suggested the weapon used in this murder was a handgun.

Witnesses told detectives prior to hearing the gunshots they had heard an argument between two unidentified people. Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and attempting to gather additional information as well as locate any video evidence.
