April 13, 2024 - Fresno Police Department officials report on Wednesday April 10, 2024, shortly after 10:00 am, an employee was working in a business in the 5600 block of North Blackstone Avenue when an unknown male walked in to the business. The male approached the employee, assaulted her and then attempted to sexually assault her.  

The victim was able to fight the suspect off and break free and call 9-1-1. The victim provided rapid suspect description to detectives. The victim’s courageous and quick reaction helped officers and detectives to quickly identify and arrest the suspect in this case. 

The suspect is 34-year old Xiang Zhao. Zhao has was booked into the Fresno County Jail for a felony count of Assault with Intent to Commit Rape. Zhao has since bonded out.
