April 13, 2026 - Sierra National Forest officials ask are you passionate about public lands and eager to make a difference? The Sierra National Forest invites you to a Volunteer Information Meeting on Thursday, April 16th, at our Forest Headquarters.
This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our dedicated volunteer community and discover how you can contribute to the stewardship of our beautiful public lands. We offer a diverse range of projects, both indoors and outdoors, and we're always excited to hear new ideas for service!
Our volunteers play a crucial role, assisting with activities such as:
- • Trail maintenance
- • Campground staff
- • Tree planting
- • Invasive plant removal
- • Facility upkeep
- • Wildlife Surveying Volunteers
- • Research support
- • And many other vital efforts!

- • Time: Doors open from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
- • If you arrive after 6:00 PM, entry instructions will be posted at the entrance.
