Proactive Patrol Catches Mail Theft in Progress
April 28, 2026 – Clovis Police Department officials report that early on Sunday morning as the community slept, a
Clovis Police officer on patrol in a neighborhood near Gettysburg and Temperance caught two mail thieves in the act. Just after 3:20 A.M. on Sunday morning, April 26, 2026, an officer located a car parked next to a community box, with suspects stealing mail. The suspects tried to drive away but were arrested without incident in the same neighborhood.
Officers arrested 29-year-old Ger Xiong and 47-year-old Karen Palmaderios, both of Fresno, for multiple charges including mail theft, evading officers, conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools. Both suspects have been booked into Fresno County Jail, their car was towed, and officers recovered several pieces of stolen mail. Xiong also has prior charges for mail theft, and Palmaderios was also arrested on two uninvolved warrants.
