TCSO Detectives Investigating Shooting in Poplar 

May 3, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at around 11:00 a.m. on May 2, 2026, TCSO Deputies were called to the 18900 Block of Avenue 145 in Poplar for a report of shots fired.

When they arrived, Deputies learned a man had pointed a gun at several people and started shooting at them. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Deputies tracked down the suspect and took him into custody. They also found shell casings at the scene.

TCSO Detectives have taken over the investigation.
