Retired TCSO Deputy Passes Away 

May 3, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff Boudreaux is saddened to announce the passing of former Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Arthur (Art) Michael Nava.

Deputy Nava passed away on Friday in Boise, Idaho at the age of 75.

He began his career with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office in 1973 and was there for 12 years. He worked in Porterville and Orosi Patrol, as well as on S.T.E.P., SWAT and as a Detective. He also served in the National Guard.

Deputy Nava is survived by his wife; Hortencia, son; Martin, daughters; Ericka and Melissa and eight grandchildren.
