May 14, 2026 – Turlock Police Department officials report that they have arrested Richard Giraeili, 42 of Turlock, in connection with an investigation involving the sexual assault of a juvenile.

The investigation began on April 13, 2026, after officers located a missing juvenile who disclosed he had been sexually assaulted by an adult male he met at Donnelly Park while away from home.

Over the course of several weeks, detectives conducted extensive follow-up investigations, ultimately identifying and contacting the suspect. During the investigation, detectives learned the suspect had been staying in a residential neighborhood near Crowell Elementary School at the time of the incident. Following an interview with detectives, Giraeili was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of 288(A)PC- Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child Under 14 Years Old.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have had contact with the suspect, or who may have information relevant to this investigation, to contact Detective Navarro at (209) 664-7319.

The suspect was known to drive a black 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
