May 30, 2026 – Turlock Police Department officials report that the Street Crimes Unit arrested 26-year-old Oscar Torres of Turlock as a result of a probation search.

During the search, officers recovered a stolen loaded firearm, more than a pound of suspected methamphetamine, ammunition, suspected marijuana packaged for sale, and stolen property.

Torres was booked on the following charges:

• Possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm
• Probation violation
• Possession of stolen property
• Prohibited person in possession of ammunition
• Possession of marijuana for sale
• Possession of a controlled substance for sale
• Felon in possession of a firearm

Proactive policing matters. This arrest removed a stolen firearm and a significant amount of suspected methamphetamine from our community before either could cause further harm.
