July 2, 2026 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at approximately 12:32 p.m., officers from the Southwest Policing District responded to a residence near Hedges Avenue and Wheeler Avenue regarding a report of a stabbing victim. Upon arrival, officers found 41-year-old Aubrey Galloway unresponsive and suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body. Officers and EMS personnel rendered medical aid, and Galloway was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for further treatment. Despite lifesaving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1:13 p.m. by medical staff.

Detectives learned through their investigation that Galloway had been involved in an argument with one of his roommates, 45-year-old London Smith. During the dispute, Smith reportedly stabbed Galloway multiple times before fleeing the residence. Smith is still outstanding and a murder warrant has been issued for his arrest. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding Smith’s whereabouts, or any details related to this case, to contact the Fresno Police Department. The Crime Stoppers reward for information leading to Smith’s location and arrest has been increased to $5,000.00.
