August 17, 2026 – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that over the past several months, detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Human Exploitation and Trafficking (H.E.A.T) Task Force conducted an in-depth investigation into a group of subjects involved in commercial sex trafficking. Through the course of the investigation, several minor sex trafficking victims were rescued from their traffickers.

HEAT detectives, with the assistance of the Stanislaus County Probation department, tied the incident to an apartment in Modesto, where several of the traffickers and their victims lived. In total, detectives arrested six suspects related to the investigation. Five of the six subjects were booked into the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Detention Center on Charges of human trafficking of a minor, pimping, pandering, and criminal conspiracy. The other suspect was booked into the Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on similar charges.

Those arrested include Adonis Lartigue, a 20-year-old male from Reno, Nevada; Haywood Moye, a 21-year-old male of Modesto; Isaiah Amador, an 18-year-old male of Modesto; Reginald Williams, a 19-year-old male of Modesto; Terri Austin, a 20-year-old female of Modesto; and one juvenile suspect from Modesto. All are currently being held on various bail amounts based on the charges.

To date this year, HEAT detectives have rescued nine juvenile human trafficking victims. Based on those rescues, nine arrests of traffickers specifically related to human trafficking of a minor have been made.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Stanislaus County Probation Department and the Modesto Police Department for their assistance in this case. Also, out of respect for the victims and California’s confidentiality laws, no further information about the victims will be released.
