September 4, 2026 – Placer County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on August 27, Special Operations Detectives arrested 25-year-old Isaiah Munoz of Rancho Cordova on pimping and pandering charges.

The investigation began in June during a human trafficking operation in Placer County. During that operation, detectives contacted and arrested a woman who was engaged in sex work. As detectives continued looking into the case, they learned Munoz was encouraging and helping facilitate her sex work while financially benefiting from it.

Just one month later, Special Operations Detectives assisted Roseville Police Department CSU Detectives with another human trafficking operation. During that operation, detectives contacted the same woman again. Their follow-up investigation showed Munoz was still encouraging and helping facilitate her involvement in sex work.

On August 27, Munoz was located and arrested in Elk Grove with assistance from CHP, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, and the Roseville Police Department.

Munoz was booked into the Placer County Jail on pimping and pandering charges.
