Stanislaus National Forest sign credit usda

September 11, 2026 - SONORA, Calif. - The Stanislaus National Forest has issued a forest order temporarily closing a portion of Forest Service Road No.4N90 from 38.158758, -120.110733 to the end of the MVUM designation, September 11, 2026, through December 15, 2026.

The reason for the closure is to accommodate the road repair work for the Rushing Integrated Resource Service Contract project, including the installation of multiple large culverts.

The contractor will install closure devices and signs and post notices to alert the public of the closure. This closure will remain in effect until repairs are complete, with an estimated completion date of December 15, 2026. The order may be partially or wholly terminated prior to December 15, 2026 if deemed safe for public use by the Forest Service.
