Body Found in Folsom Lake 

September 16, 2026 – Placer County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a body in Folsom Lake near Doton’s Point.

Deputies responded to the area and located the body of an adult male in a few feet of water.

The cause and manner of death have not yet been determined, but the circumstances do not appear suspicious at this time. The man’s identity will be released once his family has been notified.
