September 22, 2026 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that detectives assigned to the Sheriff’s Agricultural Crime Task Force have arrested 56-year-old Martin Sanchez of Sanger. He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on a felony charge of grand theft. His bail was set at $10,000. He has since posted bond and been released with a future court date.

On September 19th, a grower reported a theft of citrus trees from his property located near North and Temperance Avenues, southeast of the city of Fresno.

Ag Task Force detectives developed a lead during their investigation and served a search warrant at a home located near 8th and I Streets in Sanger. There they recovered 10 citrus trees valued at approximately $3,500. Detectives also contacted Martin Sanchez at this location and arrested him.
