TCSO Detectives Arrest Suspects in Murder of Exeter Teen 

September 26, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at around 5:30 p.m. on September 17, 2026, the Exeter Police Department received a call of a shooting in the 300 block of Jacob Place in Exeter.

Exeter Police, Farmersville Police, Lindsay Police and the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene and found a 17-year-old boy who had been shot. The boy was taken to the Kaweah Health Medical Center for further treatment. Unfortunately, he died from his injuries the next day.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office took over the investigation.

During their investigation, TCSO Detectives served numerous search warrants and obtained additional evidence identifying the suspects as a 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old Martin John Davis, both of Exeter.

Around 9:00 a.m. on September 25, 2026, Detectives served additional search warrants at locations in Exeter, Visalia, and Tollhouse. Both suspects were taken into custody on murder charges. The 16-year-old was booked into the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility, and Davis was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
