TCSO Detectives on Scene of Murder at Tule Reservation, Suspect in Custody 

September 28, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff's Office officials report that just after 5:30 p.m. on September 27, 2026, TCSO Deputies were called to the Tule Reservation on Reservation Road in Porterville for a shooting.

When they arrived, Deputies found a man who had been shot in the chest. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Deputies tracked the suspect down to a nearby home and took him into custody.

Right now, there is NO active shooter on scene and there was never an active shooter situation.
