November 7, 2026 - Sierra National Forest officials say more great news on the Sierra National Forest!

Forest Order No. 05 15 00 26 12 has been issued and will go into effect tomorrow, November 7 and remain active through March 31, 2027. The Order adds the long-awaited Stump Springs Road to a much longer list of roads, campgrounds, recreation sites, and trails recently removed from the previous closure order (see Exhibit A). The road suffered significant damage due to an unseasonal atmospheric river which caused 18 major washouts making the road unsafe to through traffic.

Check back often as more listed features will be coming off the list and available for public use in the weeks to come as we continue to advance huge efforts to reopen sites throughout the Forest.
