April 19, 2024 - San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report a man is under arrest in connection with a sexual assault in Spring Valley. 

It happened on Thursday, April 11 around 4:00 p.m. at Mount Miguel High School in the 8500 block of Blossom Valley Lane. The 15-year-old victim was on campus for an after-school program san diego county sheriff department logowhen she was assaulted in a restroom. She notified school staff who contacted the Sheriff's Department immediately. 

Deputies with the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station responded and conducted extra patrols following the incident.

Detectives with the Sheriff's Sexual Assault Unit conducted an extensive investigation with the school's cooperation and identified the suspect in the case as 18-year-old Reyvon English. English is a student at Mount Miguel High School. He was arrested after turning himself in at the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station on Thursday, April 18. English was booked into San Diego Central Jail on rape, kidnapping and other charges related to the sexual assault. 

It is the policy of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department not to release identifying information on minor victims and victims of sex crimes. This is all the information that can be released at this time as the investigation continues.
