In-Custody Death

April 23, 2024 - Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., deputies from the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility found an unresponsive male in a riverside county sheriff logohousing unit cell. Custody staff and jail medical personnel immediately administered life-saving measures. Paramedics responded and assumed life-saving measures. However, he was ultimately pronounced deceased.

Investigators from The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Corrections Central Investigations, responded and assumed the investigation. The inmate has been identified as 53-year-old Mack Luther Price of Riverside. There were no signs of foul play.
