April 29, 2024 - Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 9:27 a.m., Riverside Sheriff’s Dispatch received information from the Glendale Police riverside county sheriff logoDepartment regarding a suicide threat. Information obtained by the Glendale Police Department revealed two individuals had threatened suicide and were possibly in the area of Cajalco Road and La Sierra Avenue, in the unincorporated area of Riverside County, known as Lake Mathews. Deputies assigned to the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station responded to the area and located a vehicle with two deceased individuals inside.

The deceased individuals were later identified as Matthew Haze, a 54-year-old male, and Naomi Haneji-Haze, a 53-year-old female, both residents of Glendale.

At this time, this incident is being investigated as a murder/suicide. Due to the ongoing investigation, no additional information will be released.
