February 7, 2018 - Candles are beautiful, popular, and aromatic; but they can also be very dangerous and a cause of home fires.

• Do not leave burning candles unattended, or place them near flammable materials.
• Keep candles in a secure place, out of the reach of children and pets.
• Put candles in a stable candleholder before you light them.
• Make sure all candles are extinguished before you leave the home or office, and before going to bed.
• Avoid the use of candles in the bedroom and other areas where people may fall asleep.
• Don't burn a candle all the way down - put it out before it gets too close to the holder or container.

Consider using flameless candles as part of your home or business decor. They look and smell just like the real thing!
