National Weather Service Hanford CA 205 PM PST Thu Mar 9 2023 CAC019-039-043-047-100400- /O.NEW.KHNX.FA.Y.0039.230309T2205Z-230310T0400Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Fresno CA-Madera CA-Mariposa CA-Merced CA- 205 PM PST Thu Mar 9 2023 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall and snow melt is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following counties, Fresno, Madera, Mariposa and Merced. * WHEN...Until 800 PM PST. * IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry creek beds. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 204 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Madera, Chowchilla, Madera Acres, Yosemite Lakes, Parksdale, Parkwood, Bonadelle Ranchos-Madera Ranchos, Mariposa, Planada, Catheys Valley, Le Grand, Lake McClure, Millerton Lake and Friant. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
