Mainly dry conditions will be seen across California on Friday.

Over the weekend, expect mainly light rain and mountain snow, particularly in Northern and Central California. Snow levels will range from 5,000 to 6,000 feet with some local minor travel impacts due to snow possible in the Sierras.

The next atmospheric river event will bring widespread rain, heavy mountain snow and gusty winds early next week.

Winds gusts up of 30 to 45 mph are expected next week, particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday over the Sierra and much of Southern California.
