March 26, 2024 - Merced County Sheriff's Office officials report that last week, the Merced County Sheriff's Office Investigations Bureau and Supervised Release Team served various search warrants regarding an attempted robbery and a check fraud case in Planada.

While serving the search warrants, our team seized a ghost gun, ammunition, firearms accessories, and several fraudulent checks that were ready to be processed. Detectives arrested Jamie Lynn Garcia for attempted robbery and other outstanding warrants.
